It's Raining Cats

It may be hot and sunny outside this summer but it’s Raining Cats at AWA! During "kitten season" when feral and unaltered cats reproduce prolifically, it's not unusual to have as many as 50 cats brought to us in a single day. The burden of caring for the flood of cats and kittens can be overwhelming!

You can help! Become involved and help make a difference.

Here's how:

  1. Adopt a cat or kitten. Adoption fees will be drastically reduced during July 1 through August 31.
  2. Donate money or supplies. Donate to help shelter cats and kittens here.
  3. Foster a neonatal kitten. It's the most rewarding job you'll ever love! Learn more on our Foster page.
  4. Spay or neuter your own cat or feral cats living in your neighborhood. Kittens can get pregnant at  only 4 months old. Visit here for information on spaying/neutering feral cats.

$50 for kittens and $25 for cats. Visit our shelter or see photos and stories on our Adoption Page.
