Every year, animal shelters across the country participate in Be Kind to Animals Week to promote the welfare of animals and promote the bond humans have with them.

Sunday
Dog Reiki with Betty Broce
Bring your dog in to AWA to receive a 15-minute Reiki session to help with your pup's anxiety, stress even relieve pain.
Monday
"Barkuterie" Board Workshop
Join the experts from Graze & Go Mobile Charcuterie for a fun workshop where you'll learn how to build a mouthwatering charcuterie board for you, and a mini "Barkuterie" board that your pup will love!
Tuesday
Tales with Tails
Ages 5+ can come in and read to AWA's animals from 4-5pm. This program gives young readers a fun, engaging place to work on their reading while enriching the lives of animals in need.
Wednesday
Kitten Yoga with Leah Valley
Come to AWA and participate in a guided yoga session for yogis of all levels with Leah Valley, RYT. Just be on the lookout for an adorable kitten looking to interrupt you for a snuggle!
Thursday
Tales with Tails
Ages 5+ can come in and read to AWA's animals from 4-5pm. This program gives young readers a fun, engaging place to work on their reading while enriching the lives of animals in need.
Friday
Paint and Sip With AWA
Bring your own drinks/wine, some snacks, and your friends for a night of creative fun! The amazing artists from Paint a Treasure Studio will guide you in creating your choice of three 3D welcome signs, perfect for pet lovers. Don't worry, you don't need to be an artist to go home with the paw-fect piece for your home!
Saturday
Stuff the AWA Van Pet Supply Drive
Celebrate the end of Be Kind to Animals Week by giving back to pets in need! We'll have the AWA van parked out front with the hope that it gets filled with supplies by amazing donors like you!
