This is the heart of kitten season, so we need you to help us save as many feline friends as possible! Each adoption creates an open spot that allows AWA to bring in more and more cats from local shelters that are overrun during kitten season.

Become a Foster
Fostering a pet saves lives and is rewarding. It gives shelter animals a much-needed second chance. Opening your home to pets, like sick, young, or special-needs animals, helps save lives. It creates space in overcrowded shelters for more rescues.
We provide training, supplies, veterinary care, and 24/7 support to help foster families feel confident and supported. You don't need any experience, and anyone over 18 can apply.
We need fosters year-round, especially during the busy spring and summer months.
How Do I Get Started?

- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and must complete a volunteer application.
- You will be contacted within two weeks by the foster coordinator for foster training.

Name a Kitten
With the number of kittens arriving, we struggle to come up with names for all of them. You can help us! With a small donation, you can suggest a name for a kitten or a theme for a litter of kittens.
