Cat Adoption Hours
*Adoption meets stop being signed in 1 hour before close each day. This is to allow proper time for the potential adoption.
- 12pm - 5pm
- 12pm - 7:30pm
- 12pm - 6pm
Please fill out a cat adoption questionnaire prior to arriving at AWA.
When you arrive, sign in with an Adoption Counselor at the front desk to meet with a pet.
Cats and Kittens Available for Adoption
Adopting Cats and Kittens
All Cats and Kittens are:
- Spayed or Neutered
- Dewormed (often the first in a series of treatments that should be completed by the adoptive family)
- Treated for fleas
- Up to date with vaccinations (for kittens, the first in a series of vaccinations that should be completed by the adoptive family through their veterinarian)
- Vaccinated for rabies (if older than four months of age)
- Microchipped. All cats and kittens come identified with a unique microchip. Registration is included in the adoption.
- Adopted after we conduct personalized adoption counseling with you to ensure you're adopting the right cat for your lifestyle.
- Adopted with the understanding that AWA offers free, unlimited post-adoption behavior support via phone and email.
*All cats and kittens are required to go home inside a suitable carrier and wearing a cat safety collar (for example, a breakaway collar or a Beastie Band) and an ID tag (with adopter's address and/or phone number on it), all of which could be purchased at our ReTail Shop.
