Adopt a Small Animal
Please fill out an adoption application prior to arriving at the shelter.
When you arrive, sign in with an Adoption Counselor at the front desk to meet with a pet.
Adoption Hours
*Adoption meets stop being signed in 1 hour before close each day. This is to allow proper time for the potential adoption.

Adopting Rabbits and Small Animals
All small animals adopted from Animal Welfare Association are…
- Spayed or neutered (rabbits)
- Adopted after we conduct personalized adoption counseling to ensure you're adopting the right pet for your lifestyle
- Adopted with the understanding that AWA offers free, unlimited post-adoption behavior support via phone or email
*All small animals are required to go home inside a suitable carrier, which can be purchased at our ReTail Shop.
