Owner Requested Euthanasia & Cremation
Having to say goodbye to a companion animal is very difficult. We know the bond with a beloved pet is very special and our goal is to help you through this difficult time.
AWA’s Pet Clinic offers pet owner-requested euthanasia for pets with major or terminal illnesses. During the euthanasia process you may choose to be with your pet in a quiet, private room. You and your pet will be treated with compassion and respect every step of the way.
Please note: Euthanasia is done at the discretion of our Veterinary staff.

Euthanasia & Cremation Services and Fees
The Animal Welfare Association’s Pet Clinic offers multiple types of euthanasia and cremation services for pet owners. Basic services include:
- Euthanasia and Private Cremation
- Euthanasia and Communal Cremation
- Euthanasia and Body Returned to Owner for Burial (please note that some cities and townships do not allow burial of pet remains; others may require a permit. Please inquire with your town officials.)
If your pet passes away at home, communal cremation is available through AWA. All Pricing includes $3 medical waste fee.
We also offer ceramic paw prints and shadow boxes to memorialize your pet.
