Virtual Field Trips
Not within AWA’s travel radius? No Problem!
AWA now offers virtual field trips!
Schedule a 40-minute virtual field trip where your students can learn about important animal welfare topics, including overpopulation, animal safety, and animal rescue basics. During the visit, students will engage in discussions, view demonstrations, and wrap up with a virtual meet-and-greet with an animal guest, learning firsthand about that animal’s unique story and needs.
What’s Included:
-
Topic Selection: Choose from key animal welfare subjects such as overpopulation, animal safety, or animal rescue 101.
-
Pre-Activity: Teachers receive a preparatory activity to introduce the chosen topic and spark discussion.
-
Interactive Field Trip: Live sessions that involve interactive learning about the chosen topic.
-
Post-Activity: Further reinforce the lesson with a hands-on or reflective activity designed to deepen students’ understanding.
Give your students a memorable, engaging experience in animal welfare with an AWA virtual visit that brings valuable learning straight to your classroom!
If you have any suggestions for virtual field trip photos, let me know. I may have something that could work but not positive. I've done a couple of "virtual field trips" during COVID but didn't take screen shots or anything, not that that would be a great photo. We can always stage something too.
