What is AWA's Paws & Feet Run / Walk and Doggie Fun Day?

Animal Welfare Association’s signature annual event, the Paws & Feet 5k Run/ Walk and Doggie Fun Day is a community event celebrating the unbreakable bond between humans and their pets.

It’s a day full of fun activities for the whole family, including your pups! There will be live entertainment, local small business vendors, fun and games for the family and some of the best food vendors South Jersey has to offer!

Proceeds from the event go directly to funding AWA’s lifesaving programs, which touch tens of thousands in our community each year and save the lives of animals who need help the most.

General FAQ's

Can I Bring My Dog
Absolutely! Please note: dogs must be leashed on a non-retractable leash and up to date on vaccinations. If your dog is uncomfortable around crowds of people or other dogs, you can always bring them a Paws and Feet souvenir!
How Can My Company Get Involved?

There are many ways for businesses to make an impact at Paws & Feet.

Create a fundraising team for the 5K, register team members, and raise, raise, raise!

Become a sponsor! Become a vendor! Purchase an ad in the Paws & Feet program! Donate merchandise or gift cards to the Shake Raffle & Roll Over basket raffle! Volunteer as a team to help prepare for the event or on the day!

Is Paws & Feet Free?

Attending Paws & Feet is free, but there is a registration fee to participate in the 5k or Rescue Ramble.

If you don’t wish to participate, you will still have access to the day’s other events, vendors, food and more.

Donations are encouraged to help fund AWA’s programs.

Is This an Outdoor Event?
Yes! The event is held at the Voorhees Town Center at 2140 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees Township, NJ 08043.
It is a rain or shine event, but we expect to be enjoying a cool, sunny day with fun for the whole family!
What Happens if it Rains?
If it rains, the event will turn into Muddy Paws & Feet! Bring your rain boots, ponchos and umbrellas and come play in the rain with the other pups!

5k FAQ's

What Is Included in Registration?

All registrants will receive a Race Bib, Paws & Feet T-Shirt and AWA Tote Bag. The more you fundraise the more swag gets added to your bag!

Our 5K will be timed by SJ Race Timing. Results wil be texted to participants within seconds of finishing, providing finish time and pace. The results page will include high definition finish line video so you can capture a shot of your big finish!

Do I Have To Pay For My Dog?
No, there is no registration fee for dogs! Please note: dogs must be leashed on a non-retractable leash and up to date on vaccinations.
If your dog is uncomfortable around crowds of people or other dogs, you can always bring them a Paws and Feet souvenir!
Can Kids Participate?

Of course! Children 9 years and under are free to join the Rescue Ramble or 5K with their family.

If they would like a Paws & Feet T-Shirt you can pre-order through the registration link. If they want to be timed for the 5K they will need to register, regardless of age.

Rescue Ramble FAQ's

What Is the Rescue Ramble?
The Rescue Ramble is casual & fun walk through the event grounds designed for those who prefer a shorter distance (about a 1/2 mile) and more relaxed pace.
What Is Included in Registration?

Vendor FAQ's

How Do I Become a Vendor?

Becoming a Paws & Feet vendor is easy and it’s a great way to sell merchandise or promote your business! Vendors are responsible for all tents, tables, and chairs needed for their set-up.

Does Voorhees Township Require Additional Permits?
Any vendor that will be using a fuel-powered generator must obtain a permit from the Voorhees Township Fire Department. For questions about fire permits please contact VTFD, karen.walton@vtfd66.org.
Is Documentation Required?

Rescues that are bringing adoptable animals will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance listing Animal Welfare Association as ALSO INSURED.

Nonprofit vendors please send a copy of your IRS Determination Letter to events@awanj.org when registering.
