Group Engagement Service Day
Group service days play an important role in helping AWA meet the needs of people and pets in our community. This program offers 3.5-hours of service and team-building experience at AWA, including an orientation to the organization with a tour of the facility, a hands-on team building work experience, refreshments or lunch and a visit from one of our adoptable pets.
For a group donation of $250:
- A positive team-building experience for up to 15 participants
- Your donation covers the cost of care for one small shelter animal at AWA (rabbit, guinea pig)
- Light refreshments during orientation
- Orientation, tour of wellness clinic and adoption center
- Facebook post with a group photo and company tag thanking the group on our page that has more than 260,000 followers
- Donation and paid volunteer hours may be tax deductible. Consult your tax professional for more information.
For a group donation of $500:
- A positive team-building experience for up to 25 participants
- Your donation covers the cost of care for a homeless pet at AWA
- Group lunch
- Orientation, tour of wellness clinic and adoption enter
- Facebook post with a group photo and company tag thanking the group on our page that has more than 260,000 followers
- Thank you letter with photo that can be displayed in company’s office
- Donation and paid volunteer hours may be tax deductible. Consult your tax professional for more information.
Sample Schedule
9:30 – 10:00 am: Orientation to the Animal Welfare Association and a team building exercise
10:00 – 12:00 pm: Group volunteer project TBD
12:00 – 12:30 pm: Tour of clinic and adoption center
12:30 – 1:00 pm: Visit from adoptable pet. Group photo in front of shelter
